The Jays Guest House is a fabulous establishment.
The hosts - Alice and George and fantastically friendly and helpful. The house is spotlessly clean and the breakfasts are to die for. This is a 4 star guesthouse and it merits every one of them. We will be back.

Stayed in this B&B last week we live out of a suitcase with work and know when you find a quality place to stay and this the best b&b place we have stayed breakfast is quality George and Alice make you feel very welcome a true home from home

Stopped over the weekend on business. Room was spot on, clean & tidy with everything you'd expect from a 4 Star B&B. The owners were very helpful and cooked an excellent breakfast! Would stop again.

My sister and I went to Aberdeen to do some family research and we were so pleased we picked The Jays. George and Alice are the perfect hosts and couldn't have been more helpful. The Jays is in a great location with comfortable, clean and well furnished rooms. The breakfast certainly sets you up for the day.

I was visiting my son who works and lives in aberdeen and found The Jays guest house which is just 5 mins walk from my son. The Jays guest house was excellent all round. The double room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was 1st class more than enough to eat to keep one going for the day. Alice and George (owners) were very friendly and greeted me with a very warm welcome. Also the Guest house is in a good position being on king Street with a good bus service which you can catch a bus a few yards from the house. So I would certainly stay there again and will recommend it to anyone visiting aberdeen. Thank you George and Alice.

The Jay's is wonderful. I was in town visiting my parents and i'm so glad i picked the Jay's. Close to town and everything it has to offer. Extremely clean and tidy and my room was beautiful. George and Alice are just the best, friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfast set me up for the day beautifully cooked. A wonderful stay and i would tell anyone visiting Aberdeen to stay at the Jay's.

Traveling from Seville, Spain to Aberdeen was quite a trek but our home in Aberdeen made it worth it.
My wife and I stayed at The Jays while I attended a conference at the University of Aberdeen's King's College. The location was ideal (a 5 minute walk to the conference and brisk 15 minute walk into the centre of town or a short bus ride). The rooms are lovely and comfortable, the breakfast, a pleasure, well-cooked and tasty. But it's Alice and George who are the stars, really. They give a warm reception and are always willing to help out in any way by booking taxis, making restaurant reservations, giving good advice as to which restaurants are the best in town etc. There should be an award for best hosts in Scotland as they more than deserve the title. We will certainly return when we find ourselves in Aberdeen again.

From arrival to departure I was made to feel really welcome by Alice and George. I chose to stay here because of their location and am not surprised to find them listed as the best B&B in Aberdeen.

Only a 15 minute walk to Union Street, and a great breakfast to rise to in the morning.

Traffic noise and vibration was a little irksome in the morning, but that's no-ones fault and failed to spoil an excellent stay.

Having lived in Aberdeen many years ago as a University graduate student, I was anxious to find accommodation nearby,
There is more to life than location though. Our hosts were wonderful--George and Alice couldn't have been more gracious and helpful. The breakfasts were perfect, the conversation fun and friendly. My wife and I needed somewhere to eat for our second night and George directed us to a wonderful Italian restaurant in the Castlehill area and even had a dicount card for us. Our room was clean, neat and we felt right at home. Having stayed in and visited many homes in Scotland when I lived there, the Guest House felt clean and comfortable with the warm ambience one finds there.

Thank you both for making my long awaited return to the Granite City after thirty years away so perfect!

My husband and I stayed at the Jays Guest House while settling my son into the University of Aberdeen. We have stayed in many hotels and B&B's but never one so clean, comfortable, quiet, and with easy access to everything we needed! Alice sent us off every morning with a wonderfully delicious large breakfast and George was always spot on with advise on what to see and where to shop. We did not drive while we were there. We didn't have to. The Jays Guest House was a short walk to the University of Aberdeen, the beach, and to downtown Aberdeen. If we wanted to use public transit we could jump on a bus just a few short steps from the front door. Thank you George and Alice for making us feel at home right from the moment we arrived and for all of your help. See you again soon!
