It's no secret that first impressions are important. When your first and possibly last impression is a portrait, the importance of your looks is magnified. In person, you can influence your looks with intelligence, charm and charisma. A portrait, can only show your appearance for better or worse.
Business Portraits, by their very definition, imply that you will be using these portrait, in one way or another, to help you earn money in your chosen profession. Do your business portraits give the viewer an indication of the station in life that you have achieved? Is it reasonable to expect that you will earn a substantial income using cheap or inferior portraits? Would you choose the cheapest suit or the cheapest hairdresser?
