ASCA Awareness Around Abuse is the training arm of ASCA Counselling and Therapy Services and is currently offering a 1-day workshop in raising awareness around abuse.
The workshop has been carefully constructed to show some of the common behaviours exhibited by Survivors of emotional, physical and sexual abuse as well as Survivors of parental neglect and covers a range of issues including MYTHS and REALITIES, AFTER-EFFECTS,discussions and practical work
This workshop is suitable for anyone supporting a Survivor of abuse in a personal or professional context and is an invaluable aid to student counsellors who wish to extend their knowledge base as well as Counsellors, Social Workers, Support Workers and anyone who has an interest in abuse Survivors
This workshop is held at ASCA's premises: 2 St Gabriel's Avenue, Heaton, Newcastle upon Tyne NE6 5QN on SATURDAY 28th NOVEMBER 2009 from 10am - 4pm with registration from 9.30am
The fee is £75 per person with a 20% discount if 2 or more delegates attend from one organisation PLUS student counsellors on a recognised course receive an extra 10% PLUS over-50's receive a 10% discount and these discounts CAN be combined
Handouts, refreshments and a light buffet lunch are included in the fee
