I live in Hawaii, and when I came across this deck in a local shop, I was instantly transfixed. When I found out the artwork was hand painted for the deck in Hawaii, I contacted Katalin through her website, http://myhawaiiantarot.com/, to find out more and suprise, turns out we were living in the same community. I was a little worried at first about how clear, concise, and comprehensive they would be when compared to the Rider Waite deck. My worries evaporated, however, as soon as I opened the box and saw the card that is usually my Significator Card, The Fool, sitting on top of the deck. I saw immediately how translatable they are to other decks, and in a reading, they are compatible with just about any standard spread that may be used. I love them! Thanks very much Katalin, for bringing the Mana of ancient and modern Hawaiian Culture into a beautiful rendition of the Tarot which truly captures the Spiritualism and Aloha of Hawaii! |
