SGE Analytical Science is a leading manufacturer and supplier to the global analytical science industry. SGE was founded in 1966 by Ernest Dawes and started solely as a syringe manufacturer; today SGE is a global company manufacturing not only syringes but a wide variety of products for chromatography, sample preparation and mass spectrometry.
SGE Analytical Science employs around 400 staff worldwide and has its corporate headquarters located in Melbourne, Australia, where it has R&D and production facilities. A second site for Mass Spectrometry is in Sydney, Australia and is dedicated to R&D and production for this specialized area.
SGE has global customer service and distribution hubs in Australia, Japan, the UK and the USA, along with sales/support offices in UK, USA, France, Germany, Japan, China, India and the Middle East. SGE is an ISO accredited company.
The range of products includes: analytical syringes, dispensing syringes, GC Columns, HPLC Columns, Capillary LC Columns, connections and fittings, unions and mini unions, MEPS for sample preparation, micro control valves, ferrules, septa, a range of accessory products for GC and GC-MS, Electron Multipliers, Ion Optics grids, scientific and specialized tubing, glass inlet liners for GC and instruments for TOC analysis.
SGE also collaborates with a range of organizations to enhance and extend its capabilities. A recent collaboration with Mohamed Abdel-Rehim and Lars Bloomberg from AstraZeneca led to the release of MEPS (Micro Extraction by Packed Sorbent) which is a new concept in Sample Preparation.
