We celebrated my husband’s birthday here, and it was a fantastic experience. To our surprise, we were welcomed with bubbles on the house, which set the tone for a great evening. We started with some aperitifs at the bar, which had an impressive selection—especially loved the whisky sours!
For starters, we had oysters, potato bread with smoked butter, and hoisin tartlets. Everything was amazing, but the potato bread with smoked butter was an absolute standout—I’d come back just for that.
For the main course, we shared 750g of the 45-day dry-aged sirloin, so we only added one small plate: the lamb belly with Sichuan sauce. Both were exceptional, with deep, smoky flavors from the wood-fired grill that really elevated the meat. However, the salad was a bit of a letdown—overly salty and not a great complement to the steak, which distracted from the otherwise incredible flavors.
We mentioned this to the waiter, but unfortunately, our feedback wasn’t taken seriously, as he brushed it off with a joke. While the overall service was great, I believe they should be more receptive to customer feedback—it’s key to making an already great experience even better.
Despite that minor issue, we had a wonderful evening and would definitely return!

The Tamil Crown came highly recommended. When we went in December (2024), the food was exceptional, and it was averaging a 4.6 on Google. We were blown away by the amount of food, flavours, and the way everything was cooked.
I can't imagine much has changed since we went, but based on my experience, I couldn't recommend it enough.

Great little hotel very close to St. Pancras station. Only a few simple rooms, but everything ok. Very friendly staff, both at our arrival and in the morning when we left. The employee responsible for breakfast went out of their way to make sure we got an early breakfast, as we needed to get out in time for our further trip. She was very friendly and the breakfast was great. The whole house felt friendly and as if run in a good spirit. Would really recommend this little hotel.

Very busy on a Thursday night in dec-24. Great location in the Covernt Garden theater area. Still, both service and food could and should be much better in the dedicated dinning room. Waitress forgot half our order, waiting was too long for comfort and food quality and presentation was lacking severe qulity
